Facilitation
- Explain constraints and conditions: (1) plan a vacation consisting of 3 spots around the world, totaling no more than 4 weeks; (2) include at least one spot where you have been before and one spot where you have NOT been before!
- Give team members 3-5 minutes to plan out their vacation.
- Then, everyone shares! (in larger groups, have people share in partners or small groups. You may also want to invite participants to create quick slides to showcase their vacation!)
- When sharing, people should explain (1) where they are going, (2) how long they will stay in each spot, and (3) why they made these decisions.
- Have fun by creating additional variations/constraints. For example, have partners or teams co-plan vacations (here, you might say that they need to include one spot where they have all been before, and one spot where they have never been). You can also challenge the team to work within a budget, but make sure you provide enough work time 🙂
